Good Morning. I am currently on Book 2 (Live the New Life) in our ETS (Equip to Serve) together with the great leaders in our church.

I am a young Christian who accepted the Lord because of fear – fear of going to hell. Although, God called me few times in my life, I have never really understood what it meant to receive Him as my Saviour. I was a product of Catholic school from my elementary to high school days, but I only knew one verse by heart – John 3:16! And I’m sure everybody here knows that verse well too. I am bad on numbers! It took months before I have memorized my cell phone number and our address because of so many numbers in it. But in ETS, I have victoriously memorized 17 verses so far.

I was having crisis few months back and was seeking for God’s words. I knew I needed to soak myself in His words. But I was not really equipped as to how to do it. I`ve read one chapter after the other, but nothing had happened. One Sunday, ETS was introduced in this church and I knew this was the answer to my prayer. ETS aims to build Christ in our hearts through Bible study techniques, Scripture memory skills, to develop an exciting devotional life, and to be an effective evangelist.

I was never into devotion. I thought devotion was just a religious term for observance and worship. Through ETS, I have learned that devotion means dedication & commitment to His words and perseverance to keep His words in my hearts in all the days of my life.

In ETS, my Christian walk became committed & unwavering. I did not mean to minister of any sort when I joined ETS, but now, I am feeling more certain that God wants me to be in the ministry and to lay impact in the lives of the children at Living Word Christian Church.

Years from now, if ETS would be offered again, I would still join and would encourage my brothers and sisters to join too because It is only here that I have found a companion in my Christian walk. Just like my favourite bible verse in Genesis 8:22...

"As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease."
