Valdemar’s Guatemala Update

I thank my God whenever I remember you, always praying with joy in all my prayers for the lives of the participants in the leadership of D.I. I’d like to share a report of our activities on the missionary trip to Guatemala from February 1st to 13th, 2024.

We departed from Tehuacan towards Tapachula - Tom, Ismael, Alvaro, Irma, and I. In Tapachula, Richard joined the team, who flew to that city, and there we also met with Salomon, who is originally from Guatemala and resides in Winnipeg. The seven of us were the foreign missionaries on this Mission Trip.

The purpose of this trip was to establish contacts to introduce Discipleship in that country, as well as to share the Gospel in different places. We had already sent 1000 New Testaments and 400 Bibles for this trip. From Tehuacan, we took 1000 copies of the Bridge Illustration tracts.

We started activities at the Pan-American University, located in the province of San Marcos, where we were able to share the Bridge Illustration in 7 classrooms and one foreign classroom. About 160 university students made a profession of faith.

New Testaments and Bibles were distributed to all those students who showed great interest in the presented message.

On some occasions, we used a PowerPoint for the Illustration, and on others, it was drawn on the blackboard. Each member of the team had the opportunity to present the Gospel at that university.

We were also able to share in homes; there were families in great need of the Gospel of Christ, although it is important to mention that the percentage of evangelicals in Guatemala is much higher than in Mexico.

We were able to share in the parks of this province; the Living Word Church (Iglesia Palabra Viva) invited us to team up with them, and in San Lorenzo Park, we were able to share the Gospel and my Conversion Testimony, as well as some songs performed by those in charge of that ministry.

In the streets, we were sharing the Bridge Illustration in teams, and many people also received the Lord, our Savior.

We were also in five churches sharing the Bridge Illustration and teachings on International Discipleship. There was a good response from the members of the churches and one of the pastors who wish to participate in EPS teachings.

It was wonderful to see such marvelous results on this first missionary trip to the province of San Marcos in Guatemala. We are showing this photo where the data of the almost two hundred people who made a profession of faith was collected.

Thanks to our Heavenly Father who gave us the opportunity to serve Him in this country where many people received the Lord, and there are also interested individuals among them in receiving EPS teachings.
