Valdemar’s November 2025 Update

I thank my God, always praying with joy for all of you who support the ministry of Discipleship International Mexico.

2025 has been an extraordinary year, and these last months were no exception. In this report, I inform you of my activities from September to November of this year.

I would like to share that I currently have three discipleship groups, working through books 3, 4, and 1 of Equip to Serve. I have also been given the opportunity to share the Word once a week at a rehabilitation center in the city of Guadalajara.

While being in the city of Guadalajara, I have also received invitations to preach at the church where we meet weekly. Additionally, at the hospital where Irma receives treatment, I have been invited to share in the devotionals they regularly hold.

Before going on the missionary trip to Cuba, we were able to transport the Bibles that were used for the missionary trips to Tehuacán, Guatemala, and Monterrey.

Our missionary trip to Cuba took place from September 27 to October 8. Travis, Ismael, and I participated. Unlike other missionary trips, this one presented many obstacles during its execution. It began with family illnesses that forced us to change flights. Then, Travis was prevented from boarding the plane with a suitcase containing a large quantity of products intended for Cuba. Shortly after, Ismael’s passport was lost, and he was only minutes away from missing the flight. Once in Cuba, I forgot a suitcase on the plane, but it was through God’s great work that we were able to recover it. The following day, while exchanging dollars for Cuban pesos, approximately $100 was stolen from us. Later, some women arrived at our Airbnb screaming and falsely accusing us of assault in an attempt to extort us. The next day, we rented a private vehicle for the three of us, but it broke down. We had to push it in an attempt to start it, but it never worked.

Later, Travis was greatly affected by a respiratory illness and needed several days to recover. Ismael began to experience severe and unbearable tooth pain, which could not be treated in Cuba. Finally, I was infected with dengue, and upon returning, I had to be isolated to prevent the spread during this season of mosquitoes.

Despite all of this, great things happened during the trip. We were able to be present in two churches where Equip to Serve graduations were held, and we also shared the Gospel in homes and on the streets.

We were also able to bring a large amount of medicine, some gifts, and small offerings for the graduates.

I would also like to share that Irma will finish her chemotherapy treatment on December 16. In the following days, she will receive an evaluation to determine whether she will need radiotherapy or if chemotherapy alone has been sufficient.

Without more for the moment we say goodbye to you thanking you for the generous support you give us for our ministerial activities. May our Heavenly Father bless you greatly in your lives, your families, in your ministries and works.

With the love of Christ,

Irma & Valdemar
