Travis’ Discipleship Update June 2026

It was a full month of May as we prepared for our annual fundraiser, this year our speaker (Yura) was joining us from our discipleship team in Cuba.

We thank God that, Yura was still able to make it to Vancouver despite the huge challenges going on in that country and we were blessed by her testimony, updates on the discipleship work in Cuba and updates on the country's situation.

You can watch and listen to her presentation here: https://youtu.be/6iAM1DwaHIo\

Yura spent the week with our family and had the opportunity to participate in a street outreach in Richmond, speak at Wagner Hills recovery centre in Langley and at 19Twenty Church in Vancouver as well as our fundraiser. Please be in prayer for Cuba as they face huge challenges with food, water, electricity and a broken health system. Pray God would bring about His change and that the church would be a light during these challenging times.

Let me introduce you to Cornelius in Bangladesh. We met during an on-line training and spent over two years meeting together weekly with brothers from other countries to go through the Equip To Serve discipleship training. He is now leading groups at the seminary that his family work and live at. Recently his wife Lea was a graduate of Book 1. There are many challenges to discipleship in his country including distractions like on-line gambling which many of the young men especially have become addicted to, also laziness especially with AI that can do their studies for them including sermons and devotions they are preparing. These are big challenges to distract young people from a deep relationship with Jesus, as is here in Canada. I am reminded that, "to be little with God is to be little for God"

Pray for Cornelius as he leads this discipleship ministry in Bangladesh. Pray also for the spiritual warfare that his family has endured the last couple years for God's protection against curses put on by those who do not want their work to continue.

The young lives that Cornelius has the great blessing to disciple

Recently, I was able to meet with Pastor Rajesh and his team about future discipleship training, we will begin a zoom Book 1 training in September. This week we will be meeting with other Nepalese missionaries and pastors to discuss how we can work together moving forward in making disciples in Nepal.

With our youngest sons Tanner and Jordan

This summer (August) my youngest son, Jordan and I will be travelling Western Canada to visit with past ETS students, discipleship groups, board members and our office in Manitoba. I will be preaching in Manitoba and looking forward to connecting with many as we travel. Pray for travel mercies and we can be an encouragement to those we stay with to continue to be faithful in their walks with God.

Thank you for the amazing blessing your prayer and financial support are to the ministry of making disciples who make disciples wherever God leads.

Until all are discipled,

Travis & Jennifer
